when I started this blog five years ago, I was a pet sitter and the name animal-crackers made sense. now I'm a stay-at-home-dad and freelance writer, but rather than confuse everyone by getting a different blog, it's just easier to keep posting things here.

Happy Birthday!
On Tuesday, we went to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday. Here's the king himself.
Josh took his time plowing through 25 tokens. He played some games -- enough to earn 10 tickets for a big Tootsie Roll -- and rode some rides. Here's Josh on the balloon-icycle.
Dylan had a good time at the Chuck, too. Now that he's walking, he enjoyed climbing over everything.

seem to be causing quite a stir. Somehow they unlock HD-DVD movies. I don't know how.
I like them for their assymetric beauty. Notice how it starts and ends with 0. The number 56 is the only segment that's repeated. Even numbers outnumber odds, 4-to-3.
The letters spell fdebdcc. Clearly, part of the da Vinci code. The stupid part, anyway.
This 16-digit code, to me, is a digital Jackson Pollock. It is its own subject matter. It's a picture that represents nothing more than itself. So tranquil and sublime, yet bold and expressive.
